Ethan Hawke has signed on to star in 24 HOURS TO LIVE. Sierra/Affinity will be handling international sales at the European Film Market in Berlin while CAA handles domestic rights.
The film follows Hawke as a career assassin who is given a chance at redemption after his employer brings him back to life temporarily, just after being killed on the job.
The script was penned by Jim McClain and Ron Mita and will be directed by Brian Smrz. Thunder Road Picture‘s Basil Iwanyk, Fundamental Film‘s Mark Gao and Gregory Ouanhon will produce. The China-based Fundamental will fully finance the project. Thunder Road’s Kent Kubena and Jonathan Fuhrman will executive produce alongside Fundamental’s Gary Glushon.
Hawke starred in last year’s Maggie’s Plan and 2014’s award-winning Boyhood. He will next seen opposite John Travolta and Karen Gillan in Blumhouse Production’s In A Valley Of Violence. Smrz was a second unit director on X-Men: Days Of Future Past and Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, as well as the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.
Hawke is repped by CAA and MGMT Entertainment. Smrz is repped by CAA and Oasis Media Group.
