Eva Green is in talks to join Tim Burton’s MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN. Based on the novel written by Ranson Riggs, the fantasy adventure film centers on 16-year-old Jacob who discovers an abandoned orphanage an isolated island off of Wales that was a home for children with strange powers. Green would play Miss Peregrine, the guardian of the orphaned children.
Green is well known for her dark, some would say daring, roles, particularly her current role as Vanessa Ives in Showtime’s horror series “Penny Dreadful.” She’s also known for playing Bond girl Vesper Lynd in “Casino Royale” and Artemisia in “300: Rise of an Empire.” This project would be a re-teaming of Green and Burton, who previously worked together in “Dark Shadows.” Green is set to star as Ava Lord in Frank Miller’s upcoming crime/thriller “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.”
