Eva Longoria and Lily Collins are in talks to join LOWRIDERS. The coming of age drama centers on a kid from Pacoima with a dead-end job who dreams of building the perfect lowrider. Demian Bichir is already on board to star. Ricardo de Montreuil is directing the project for Universal from a script written by Josh Bierne-Golden and Justin Tipping.
Longoria is in the midst of filming Refugio, Bichir’s directorial debut and has recently appeared in Michael Berry’s western Frontera. Behind the scenes, Longoria executive produces the Lifetime drama series Devious Maids and was also a producer on the action/thriller John Wick. Her upcoming projects include producing a number of TV projects like the comedy Bookclub, an untitled supernatural drama for NBC, and the ABC comedy Splitting the Difference.
Collins is known for her roles in romantic comedies like Stuck in Love and Love, Rosie, but she has also appeared in Harald Zwart’s The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and The Blind Side. She recently wrapped filming on Warren Beatty’s untitled Howard Hughes project.
