CBS has ordered a comedy pilot from Hilary Winston that will be exec. produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who continue their forays into television with the success of AMC’s Preacher and more series on the way.
Winston will write and exec. produce 25, a hybrid comedy about a 20-something named Kyle who travels to Austin to convince an old friend from camp that they’re perfect for each other, only to discover that she’s engaged. Undaunted, Kyle keeps trying and finds more than he bargained for.
Repped by UTA and Rise Management, Winston was a writer and consulting producer on Dr. Ken for ABC as well as working on Community and Happy Endings.
Rogen and Goldberg, also repped by UTA, were mostly working in the feature film realm, directing This is the End and The Interview and producing Neighbors, its sequel and other comedies. A few years back, they ventured into television by exec. producing AMC’s hit series Preacher and the upcoming Showtime pilot Ball Street, starring Don Cheadle and Andrew Rannells.
