Disney has released the first teaser trailer for the new live-action Winnie the Pooh movie CHRISTOPHER ROBIN. Ewan McGregor stars as the grown-up iteration of the titular character who has lost his way. Now his childhood friends Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and more must help him remember his past as they venture into our world.
Talking animated bears have become a hot commodity in the past few years from R-rated Ted to the critically acclaimed Paddington films. Last year also saw the release of a different adaptation of Pooh, with Goodbye Christopher Robin starring Dohmnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie. Disney’s new take sees working-class family man Christopher Robin encountering his childhood friend Winnie-the-Pooh, who helps him rediscover the joys of life.
Finding Neverland helmer Marc Forster directs from a script by Alex Ross Perry and Allison Schroeder. The film also stars Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) as Christopher’s wife Evelyn, Bronte Carmichael as his daughter Madeline, and Mark Gatiss as Christopher’s boss Keith Winslow and features the voices of Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh, Chris O’Dowd as Tigger, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Toby Jones as Owl, Nick Mohammed as Piglet, Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga.
