{Exclusive} Indie Publisher Inkshares Sees 2nd eBook Sensation “The Show” Hit The Market From UTA and Energy — And Offers Are Already Rolling In!
0After upstart indie publisher Inkshares found itself in the middle of a bidding war this past week on their debut author Mike Mongo’s title ASTRONAUT INSTRUCTION MANUAL with no less than 3 A-list producers at the center, we have now confirmed there is an offer on a second debut author’s title, THE SHOW by Filip Syta. The book, which was just featured in this Financial Times article and sold out on its initial run, details the Wolf of Wall Street style antics inside what is essentially his previous employer Google’s hallowed halls.
The aspiration tale describes a San Francisco company called Show that employs a lot of 20-somethings who make a lot of money, have a lot of parties, drink a lot of booze, sleep with one another indiscriminately, and take a lot of cocaine on their journey to perfection. The book is set inside a red hot Silicon Valley empire in the making, and amidst the quest for power, personal ego, and digital revolution asks: how much of your soul are you willing to sell to ascend to its highest ranks.
Syta is a former Google employee who chose to leave the tech world behind to satisfy his constant urge to write and to pursue his ambition of becoming a novelist. He was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2011, he graduated with a master’s degree in entrepreneurship from Lund University, Lund, Sweden.
With a premium streaming service already having an offer in, there are several A-List producers already circling in what is being set up as an industry auction that will play out into the weekend.
We’ll continue to bring you more on this as the story develops…
The Show and Inkshares are repped by UTA and Energy Entertainment.
