EXCLUSIVE 〉Stack made the Top 25 Semi-Finals with his horror script Beneath
LPPC Top 25 finalist Ryan Stack has signed with Brooklyn Weaver of Energy Entertainment thanks to his supernatural horror pilot Beneath. As principle of Energy, Weaver has produced CBS’s sci-fi thriller series Extant, which stars Halle Berry.Weaver’s also produced the Liam Neeson-starrer Run All Night and Out of the Furnace, which starred Christian Bale.
Ryan Stack is a freelance TV producer who’s worked on shows like The Daily 10, E! News, and Live From E! He’s been writing scripts on the side over the last few years, and he has been lucky enough to try and develop projects with development executives like Ryan Jones at 20th Century Fox, Jonathan Yunger at Nu Image, and Benjamin Scott at Beneficial Entertainment.
His pilot Beneath garnered the attention of our judges due to the script’s palpable tension and dread throughout, utilizing dramatic storytelling blended with effectively creepy atmosphere. Beneath centers on a struggling oil tycoon, who makes a deal with a family farmer to drill on his land. However, neither are prepared for what they find beneath the earth. The pilot promises mystery coupled with satisfying twists and startling reveals.
