Producer Mark Gordon is teaming with Mad Chance Productions to finance and produce the romantic dramedy FELLINI BLACK & WHITE. The script, which appeared on the Black List in 2005, was written by Homeland writer-producer Henry Bromell, who was previously attached to direct before he passed away in 2013.
The story is centered around famed director Federico Fellini and a two-day trip he takes to Los Angeles to attend the Academy Awards. During the trip, however, Fellini goes missing and has a wild adventure.
Gordon joins American Sniper producer Andrew Lazar and Wynn Wygal of Mad Chance, who were previously developing the project with Yari Film Group. Terrence Howard, Peter Dinklage, William H. Macy, Wagner Moura, Nina Arianda, and Abbie Cornish were previously attached to star.
Gordon, who heads up his Mark Gordon Company, is the mega-producer behind innumerable television series and films, from Criminal Minds to Grey’s Anatomy, Saving Private Ryan to Source Code. He recently wrapped on the ABC drama pilot Designated Survivor, which has been ordered to series, and keeps a full slate of feature projects in development, including Cowboy Ninja Viking, The Day of the Triffids, and a remake of Murder on the Orient Express with 20th Century Fox. Gordon was a producer on Tulip Fever and War Dogs, both scheduled for release later this year.
Gordon is repped by CAA.
