The animated family comedy is a ridiculous twist on overblown action movies, with a story centered on a chicken and a hen who must cross a super highway to save their daughter from a fried chicken company.

Stoller, who is perhaps best known as the director of successful adult-oriented comedies Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Neighbors, is a partner in the Warner Bros. Creative Consortium, which also includes Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, and Jared Stern. The Consortium was established in 2013 with the goal of producing at least one animated film per year for the studio. The division is responsible for The Lego Movie and its forthcoming sequel, as well as next September’s Andy Samberg-voiced Storks, which was written and co-directed by Stoller.

As The exclusively reported in December, Warner Bros. is also in with a new Speedy Gonzales movie, a revival of one of its most iconic Looney Tunes brands.

In addition to the family animated features, Stoller in involved in a myriad of projects, including the Stretch Armstrong movie and the Bryan Cranston-James Franco comedy Why Him? Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, starring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron, hits theaters in May.
