〉 Gray made a name for himself last year after landing on the 2015 Blood List, Young & Hungry List, and Hit List.
Romark Entertainment has picked up James Hankins’s best-selling book BROTHERS AND BONES and hired up and coming writer, Carver Gray, to adapt. The book, which is a smart thriller in the same vein as to The Firm, centers on fast rising Assistant U.S. Attorney Charlie Beckham, as his seemingly perfect world comes crashing down around him on the eve of his biggest case, when he discovers his brother, presumed dead for 13 years, may not only be alive, but may also be directly involved with the criminal organization he’s in the process of putting away. Now, he must unravel the conspiracy surrounding his brother’s disappearance; avoid the hit that’s been put on his head, and discover who has been feeding the organization info from the inside… all before the sun comes up.
Romark’s Rock Shaink will produce and Joseph New will oversee. The project was brought to the company by Paradigm. Newcomer Gray quickly made a name for himself this year when his spec script Unlawful earned him spots on the Blood List, Young & Hungry List, and the Hit List. That project is also being produced by Shaink, as well as Energy Entertainment’s Brooklyn Weaver and is currently being packaged by WME.
Romark, who recently picked up the comic book series Herald for writer Jared Battaglia, is currently producing Matriarch for Paramount, Tranquility Base with Ridley Scott for Fox and A Boy and His Tiger for Warner Bros. as well as the TV series Paradox with Tim Kring’s Imperative Entertainment.
