Noah Hawley will be making his feature directorial debut with MAN ALIVE. The spec from first-time scribe Joe Greenberg was acquired by 20th Century Fox in a six-figure deal.
Plot details are being kept under wraps on the project but it is described as an elevated sci-fi spec. Greenberg developed the script with Aengus McLoone, who is also attached to produce.
Leigh Kittay and John Cameron will produce through Hawley’s company 26 Keys Productions along with Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, and Jake Wagner. Matt Reilly will oversee the film. This is also the first project for Hawley under his overall deal with Fox.
Hawley is best known as the creator of FX’s hit TV series Fargo, based on the Coen brothers movie. Season two finished airing in December and the network has already ordered a third season. He has several projects in development through his deal with FX, including the X-Men pilot Legion and the limited series Cat’s Cradle based on the Kurt Vonnegut novel.
Hawley is repped by CAA. Greenberg is repped by Benderspink and Verve.
