Starry Eyes executive producer Giles Daoust wrote the script, which follows a detective who becomes convinced that his wife’s suicide was staged, and that she was actually murdered. When he discovers that she may have been the victim of father-and-son serial killers, he’ll have to break all the rules to stop them from killing other women.
Luke Barnett and Vincent Masciale will produce under their Lone Suspect banner alongside Daoust on behalf of Title Media and Mike Macari (The Ring franchise) for Koji Productions. Catherine Dumonceaux will serve as executive producer, and production is slated to start this summer.
In addition to directing more than 600 commercials, which have won him two Bronze Lions in Cannes, Seri has also directed four French films, including Yamakasi for EuropaCorp, and Night Fare for Universal France.
Anderson Falls marks Title Media’s third time partnering with Lone Suspect, with the two companies having previously teamed on the Abigail Breslin horror-comedy Fear, Inc and the dramatic thriller Painkillers starring Madeline Zima and Mischa Barton, which Kew Media introduced to buyers at EFM.
Founded in 2003 by Daoust and Golden Globe winner Alain Berliner, Title Media is a film production company that is active in Brussels, Paris and Los Angeles. It has produced or co-produced over 30 films including Starry Eyes, What Happened to Monday? and The Death of Stalin.
Best known for their work with Funny or Die, Lone Suspect is a boutique production company founded by Barnett and Masciale. The company’s horror-comedy Fear, Inc. premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, and it recently wrapped the eOne pilot for Captain Karl’s Institute for the Abnormally Bizarre starring Daniel Stern (Home Alone), Kate Flannery (The Office), Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld) and YouTube star Lisa Schwartz. Lone Suspect is currently packaging Dycktator, an animated political series starring Kurtwood Smith (That 70’s Show). Barnett also served as an executive producer on the 2015 indie film Loitering with Intent starring Oscar winner Marisa Tomei and current Oscar nominee Sam Rockwell.
Macari is founder of Koji Productions and the executive producer of the Ring franchise and founder of Koji Productions. He has also produced the films Six Souls starring Julianne Moore, The Invisible starring Justin Chatwin, and Compulsion starring Analeigh Tipton. Macari also served as an executive producer on Title Media and Lone Suspect’s previous movie Painkillers.
