The Beatty-helmed project revolves around the eccentric recluse, Hughes, particularly focusing on his love affair with his young assistant. The project was put on hold for years until recently when some new financing kicked it back into high gear. The last Hughes-centered film, “The Aviator,” went on to earn close to $215 million worldwide and won 5 Oscars.
Fischler will appear alongside Beatty, Collins, Martin Sheen, Annette Bening and Matthew Broderick. His past credits include roles in “Mad Men,” “Lost,” Old School” and “Mulholland Drive.”
