The Southern food critic, television host, and award-winning author Morgan Murphy has signed with Daniel Pancotto and Jon Kanak of Magnet Management in all areas of representation.
Murphy first started his career in journalism, writing for publications such as Vanity Fair, Forbes, and Southern Living as their food critic, travel editor, and national spokesman. He has also appeared on a number of media programs, including The Today Show, CNN, Fox News, and NPR.
As an author, he’s written five books, the first of which, I Love You — Now Hush (2010), he co-wrote with Melinda Rainey Thompson and it was named the gold humor book of the year by the American Library Association. The remainder of his books are all centered on food and recipes, including his three titles in the Off the Eaten Path series (the latest of which was published in 2015) as well as Bourbon & Bacon: The Ultimate Guide to the South’s Favorite Food Groups.
Murphy is also a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve and has been awarded numerous medals, including the NATO Freedom Medal.
