The Fault in Our Stars writer Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber have sold a pitch to Fox 2000 for THE BEAUTY INSIDE with Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke attached to star. Fox scooped the project in a $2 million deal, over five other bidders including Universal, Sony, STX, Lionsgate, and New Line.
The film centers on a man who wakes up in a different body each day and has to stay connected to the woman he loves. It’s based on a 2015 Korean romantic comedy.
Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will produce alongside Rumble Entertainment’s Greg Chou.
Clarke, known best for portraying Daenerys Targaryen on HBO’s Game of Thrones, was most recently seen on the big screen in the romantic drama Me Before You and the science fiction actioner Terminator: Genisys, and is set to star opposite Alden Ehrenreich in the Han Solo spinoff film.
Neustadter and Weber have proven themselves repeatedly in the romance genre with films like 500 Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now, and The Fault in Our Stars.
Neustadter and Weber are repped by CAA and Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment.
Clarke is repped by CAA.
