Parks and Rec star Adam Scott and The Office alum Craig Robinson may be headed back to the small screen as Fox has given a pilot order to the single-camera comedy GHOSTED. This is the third comedy pilot order for the network who after Liz Meriwether’s Thin Ice and Linda from HR.
The series is described as a comedic take on the X-Files which focuses on Robinson as a cynical skeptic and Scott as a genius, “true believer” in the paranormal who are recruited by The Bureau Underground to look into the rampant “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles – all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.
That Awkward Moment‘s Tom Gormican will write and executive producer while Robinson, Scott, Naomi Scott, and 3 Arts’ Mark Schulman and Oly Obst. Kevin Etten will executive produce and act as showrunner.
The project reunites Scott and Robinson who previously starred together in the feature comedy Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Scott has most recently starred in the film My Blind Brother and in a guest-starring role on NBC’s The Good Place. He next stars opposite Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman in HBO’s Big Little Lies. Robinson meanwhile lent his voice to the animated feature Sausage Party, as well as doing stints on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Mr. Robot.
