Fox Searchlight has acquired the supernatural horror script ANTLERS, written by Henry Chaisson and Channel Zero creator Nick Antosca (pictured above), the Tracking Board has exclusively learned.
David S. Goyer and Kevin Turen will produce under their Phantom Four banner along with Guillermo del Toro, whose new film The Shape of Water was released by Fox Searchlight this past weekend.
Antlers follows a fourth-grade teacher who tries to help a troubled boy in her class, only to discover that he’s been hiding a nightmarish secret. Now something terrifying is coming for the boy, and she has to protect him.
Antosca, who appeared on the 2016 Young and Hungry List, previously worked with Goyer on The Forest. He created and serves as executive producer/showrunner on SyFy’s anthology series Channel Zero, and he recently sold another anthology series, The Act, to Hulu, with UCP and Writ Large producing. Antosca is also the author of five published novels, and he has worked on features such as Friday the 13th for Paramount and Woogles for producers Timur Bekmambetov and Max Landis.
Chaisson is a writer, director and composer from Newton, MA who studied at Brown University and runs the production company Slater Hall with producer Mike Makowsky.
Writ Large represents both Chaisson and Antosca, who is also repped by WME.
