Daniel Espinosa is in talks to direct 20th Century Fox’s BOSTON STRONG. The drama is based on the as yet unpublished book of the same name, written by Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge and centers on the manhunt to apprehend the two men believed to be responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings. Hutch Parker and Dorothy Aufiero are on board to produce the project. Casey Affleck was originally attached to star and produce but has since backed out. Eric Johnson and Paul Tamasy penned the script.
Espinosa is the writer/director behind 2010’s Easy Money. He also directed 2012’s action/crime thriller Safe House and executive produced Easy Money II: Hard to Kill. Espinosa also directed the drama thriller Child 44, which stars Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman. His upcoming projects include directing the crime thriller Blood on Snow, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
