Netflix has driven away with the worldwide rights to the Jeremy Rush-directed WHEELMAN starring Frank Grillo.
The action thriller features Grillo as a getaway driver who is double crossed during a bank robbery. When plans go south, it is up to him to find out who betrayed him while he races to survive with a car full of money and his family on the line.
Wheelman will mark Grillo’s first film as a producer. He will produce alongside Joe Carnahan and Myles Nestel from The Solution Entertainment Group. J Todd Harris, Chady Mattar, and Scott Silver are set to executive produce.
Grillo can currently be seen as Crossbones in Captain America: Civil War. Next up for the actor is The Purge: Election Year and Akiva Goldsmith’s fantastical horror Stephanie. On the TV front, he stars in the DirecTV series, Kingdom.
He is repped by CAA.
