Veteran actor Frank Langella joins the cast of THE DRIFTLESS AREA, an adaptation of the Tom Drury novel. The drama flick follows the story of a young optimistic bartender with a fondness for coin tricks, and an uncanny capacity for finding trouble. When he falls in love, with a mysterious and isolated woman, he becomes the central player in a revenge drama he must unravel and bring to its shocking conclusion. The project also stars Anton Yelchin, Zooey Deschanel, John Hawkes, Alia Shawkat and Ciaran Hinds.
Langella began his career on the stage, acting in productions like “A Cry of Players” opposite Anne Bancroft. He then transitioned into film with roles in “Diary of a Mad Housewife” and 1979’s “Dracula.” He’s probably most well known for his Oscar nominated role in biopic “Frost/Nixon” where he embodied Richard Nixon during the time after his resignation. You can see him in theaters now opposite Kevin Costner in “Draft Day.” Next up for Langella is a role in the Nicole Kidman headlined “Grace of Monaco” where he’ll play Father Francis Tucker.
