Frank Langella has booked a recurring role on the upcoming third season of FX’s THE AMERICANS. The drama series stars Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell as two Russian sleeper spies who have integrated into the American way of life during the Cold War, even raising children together. Langella will play Gabriel, Rhys’ and Russell’s former KGB handler who comes out of retirement to take over for Margo Martindale’s character Claudia.
Although Langella has appeared on TV series in the past, he’s best known for his film roles in Good Night, and Good Luck, Frost/Nixon, and Superman Returns. More recently, Langella voiced the role of Og in Darren Aronofsky’s Noah and appeared in the Grace Kelly biopic Grace of Monaco. Next up, Langella has been cast in Matt Ross’ Captain Fantastic and drama Driftless Area.
Langella is repped by Paradigm.
