Constance Wu, who has received critical acclaim for her breakout role as Jessica Huang in the ABC comedy Fresh Off the Boat, is set to star in the Jennifer Cho Suhr’s independent drama YOU AND ME BOTH.
She will play a struggling addict who embarks on a road trip with her estranged sister, travelling from Iowa to Alaska in search of their birth mother. Centering on the bond between siblings and the resilience and humor necessary to overcome trauma, the film will explore themes of grief, forgiveness, and belonging and showcase the breadth and range of the Asian American experience.
The film, which marks the feature debut for writer-director Jennifer Cho Suhr, will be produced by Carolyn Mao and Mollye Asher. The project is supported by Tribeca All Access, NALIP and Film Independent.
