FX has ordered the pilot for the animated comedy series CASSIUS & CLAY. Kaitlin Olson and Lake Bell lead the voice cast featuring Susan Sarandon, Jeffrey Tambor, JB Smoove, Robert Patrick, Stephen Root, Kevin Michael Richardson and Katy Mixon. The story follows the adventures of two female bandits in a futuristic, postapocalyptic America. Olson will voice Ordwood Cassius, a quick on her feet partner that has more energy than brains. Bell is set to voice her partner Shopcarter Clay, the fastest gun in the south. The network is teaming with Floyd County Productions. The pairing was behind Archer, Chozen and Unsupervised. The series was created by writers Megan Ganz and Adam Reed.
Known for her role on the hit series It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Olson has appeared in the Melissa McCarthy comedy The Heat, and will be seen in the upcoming reboot of Vacation starring Ed Helms and Leslie Mann. She is repped by CAA and Haven Entertainment.
Known for her roles in Children’s Hospital and What Happens in Vegas, Bell is set to direct the comedy The Emperor’s Children. Bell is repped by UTA and Burstein Company.
