Gabrielle Union has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller SLEEPLESS NIGHT. Earlier today, Union was revealed to be in talks for the comedy Keanu, from comedy duo Key & Peele. See the article here. Sleepless Night is a remake of the French film of the same title, directed by Frederic Jardin. Union joins Jamie Foxx and Michelle Monaghan in the story following an undercover cop that attempts to locate and retrieve his kidnapped son from a drug-dealing nightclub owner, after his his only bargaining chip is taken from him. Andrea Berloff has written the screenplay, with Baran Bo Odar set to direct.
Union most recently appeared in the Box Office smash ensemble comedy Think Like a Man Too and in Chris Rock’s Top Five. She is set to join Armie Hammer in the Nat Turner biopic The Birth Of A Nation and continue to star on BET drama Being Mary Jane, on which he plays the title role.
