Garrett Hedlund is joining Jack O’Connell and Domhnall Gleeson in Angelina Jolie’s WWII biopic UNBROKEN. The film follows the true story of Louis Zamperini (O’Connell), a former Olympian, and his two crewmates whose plane crashed at sea during World War II and floated adrift for 47 days until they were captured and sent to a POW camp by the Japanese Navy. Hedlund will star as Commander John Fitzgerald, a P.O.W. alongside Zamperini. Mick Garris, Matthew Baer and Erwin Stoff are producing with Ethan and Joel Coen writing the most recent draft of the script.
Hedlund has previously starred in “Friday Night Lights”, “Tron: Legacy” and “On the Road” and can be seen in “Inside Llewyn Davis.” He is repped by WME.
