Buckle your seatbelts, everyone, because this film is starting up for the third time. has been chosen to replace in the re-shoot of , a movie Mackie completed almost five years ago. Director is insistent that the film did not turn out the way he imagined, and wants to scrap it and start completely from scratch.

The film originally filmed in 2007, and went through extensive re-shoots two years later after Pritzker was still was not satisfied with the result. This third time around, however, Mackie was not able to align his schedule with the director, and will cede the role to Downton Abbey’s .

The film chronicles the story of Buddy Bolden, the coronet player that director Pritzker believes invented Jazz. is the son of billionaire Hyatt Hotels magnate Jay Pritzker, and has been financing the film entirely on his own. Who knows – maybe the third time around will be the charm!

Carr is repped by Markham, Froggatt and Irwin Talent.
