ard Barrett is set to write and direct Denver & Delilah Films and Foundation Features new drama, BRAIN ON FIRE.
The film, based on Susannah Cahalan’s bestselling memoir “Brain On Fire: My Month Of Madness,” stars Dakota Fanning as Cahalan, a young woman terrifyingly descending into insanity as a result of an undiagnosed case of encephalitis.
Charlize Theron, Beth Kono, and A.J. Dix will produce for Denver & Delilah. Rob Merilees of Foundation Features will produce and finance. Barrett will be co-producer.
Barrett debuted with Pilgrim Hill at its premiere at the Irish Galway Film Fleadh. His latest project, Glassland, stars Jack Reynor as a struggling Dublin cab driver who returns to crime in order to pay for the rehab of his alcoholic mother.
Barret is repped by Independent Talent Group and WME.
