Gerard Butler Returns For Threequel Follow-up “Angel Has Fallen”

After Olympus and London, isn’t ready to call it quits with Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt’s Fallen franchise. Butler is set to return as Secret Service agent Mike Banning in the third installment of the series titled ANGEL HAS FALLEN.

The follow-up to London Has Fallen will have Butler reprising his role as Banning, who has spent his keeping American presidents safe. This time, he’s the target. If his attackers can take down half of Washington D.C. with it, all the better. Among those at risk include the President, whose official Air Force One plane has the appropriate code name of Angel.

Rothenberger and Benedikt will write the script, but a director has yet to be set. Butler will produce the Millennium Films project alongside Alan Siegel, Mark Gill, John Thompson, and Matt O’Toole. Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, and Christine Otal will serve as executive producers.

Butler recent film credits include Gods of Egypt and The Headhunter’s Calling. He is currently filming Hunter Killer alongside Gary Oldman and Billy Bob Thorton.
