Girls and Get Out star Allison Williams is joining the Netflix’s A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS in a guest-starring role. The show, which stars Neil Patrick Harris, is based on the popular children series by Lemony Snicket (the pen name of Daniel Handler). Williams will guest star in the upcoming third season which will be the show’s last and make an appearance in the upcoming second season which debuts March 30. Details on her role are being kept under wraps.
Harris stars as Count Olaf, the evil guardian of the Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. Other cast members include Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Presley Smith, Joan Cusack, Will Arnett, Cobie Smulders, Alfre Woodard, Catherine O’Hara, Nathan Fillion, Patrick Warburton, Lucy Punch, Tony Hale, David Alan Grier, K. Todd Freeman, Sara Rue, Robbie Amelle, and Roger Bart.
Since breaking out in HBO’s critically acclaimed Girls, Williams has shown great versatility in her role choices with performances in Peter Pan Live! on NBC and the Oscar nominee for Best Picture, Get Out. Next she’ll star opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in Showtime’s Patrick Melrose and on the big screen in The Perfection. She is represented by CAA and Untitled Entertainment.
