Sony has begun testing several actresses for their upcoming music pic GIRLS LIKE US.
The film follows the personal journeys of singer-songwriters Carly Simon, Carole King, and Joni Mitchell from their childhood to their burgeoning professional careers. Taylor Swift is already set to play Mitchell but Simon and King are still up for grabs.
Allison Williams, Jessica Pare and Analeigh Tipton are currently competing for the role of Simon with Olivia Thirlby, Ari Graynor and Zoe Kazan all auditioning for Carole King. Allison Pill was already being eyed by the studio to play King but she does have competition.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura will be producing for his Di Bonaventura shingle along with Amy Pascal and Elizabeth Cantillon.
Katie Jacobs is currently set to produce and direct from a script by John Sayles.
