Bestselling author Jane Green is seeing one of her works headed to the big screen for the first time as Good Deed Entertainment acquires THE BEACH HOUSE. Green considers the work her favorite of her many published books. The adaptation will be penned by Meghan Hughes.
The story centers on a 65-year-old eccentric Nan who opens up her Nantucket home to tenants in order to combat her financial troubles. Facing the realities of the happily-ever-after not happening, Nan and her new group of strangers find themselves gaining new leases on life as they come together despite their differences.
Good Deed’s Nikki Stier is producing while Christy Fletcher and David Weiner of Fletcher and Co. are executive producing with Good Deed founder and CEO Scott Donley and president and COO Leonard Shapiro.
Green’s prolific works have been incredibly successful with seventeen out of eighteen landing on the New York Times’ bestseller list and have published in over 25 languages. She is an ABC News correspondent, covering a history of Royal marriages, and previously was a journalist in UK for BBC Radio London where she had her own radio show.
Green is repped by UTA and Fletcher and Company.
