Looking star Raul Castillo has been added to the cast of Greg Berlanti’s latest CW series, RIVERDALE. The actor joins K.J. Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, and Ashleigh Murray in the contemporary adaptation of the classic Archie comics.
Set in present day, the series offers a subversive take on Archie, Betty, Veronica, and their friends, exploring the surreality of small-town life – the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome facade. The show will premiere midseason on The CW.
Castillo has been cast in the role of Oscar, a series, successful songwriter from New York who is also a visiting professor at Carson College in Riverdale. Cool and exacting, Oscar agrees to audition Archie in the hopes of possibly mentoring the aspiring singer-songwriter.
Castillo recently appeared in two different Netflix originals, the Ricky Gervais movie Special Correspondents and the Joe Swanberg anthology series Easy. He also appeared on Fox’s Gotham and the CBS drama Blue Bloods.
