Greta Gerwig is set to star in the Fox Searchlight’s romantic comedy, LOLA VERSUS, with Orlando Bloom in final negotiations. The Daryl Wein-helmed feature is also co-written by Wein and Zoe Lister-Jones, who will also star in a supporting role. Gerwig will star as a woman who is let go by her fiancee only weeks before the wedding, as she embarks on a series of encounters in an attempt to figure her place out in the world. Natalie Portman was previously attached to star.
Groundswell Productions’ Michael London and Jocelyn Hayes are set to produce.
Gerwig is repped by UTA and Caliber Media Co. Bloom is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment.
