Johnny Depp may have found his brother in BLACK MASS as Guy Pearce is in talks to pick up the role.
Depp will be playing Whitey Bulger in the film that is being directed by Scott Cooper. Joel Edgerton and Tom Hardy are both in the running for the role of John Connolly.
Bulger was a Boston crime boss as well as an FBI informant who played the government into helping him eliminate his criminal competition and was only caught a few years ago in 2011.
Pearce is best known for his work on “Iron Man 3″³ and as the man with a strange memory disorder in the amazing “Memento,” not to mention the dozens of other films in-between. He will can seen in this year’s upcoming films “The Rover” and “Hateship Loveship.”
Pearce is repped by CAA.
