Hailee Steinfeld has been tapped to star in the big-screen adaptation of CARRIE PILBY. Based on the 2003 YA novel by Caren Lissner, the dramedy follows a 19-year-old former prodigy who has graduated Harvard, but has no real life experiences, and who now must embrace a list of things to do from her therapist. Suzanne Farwell will make her directorial debut with the project, directing from a script adapted by Dean Craig and Kara Holden.
Steinfeld will next be seen in Pitch Perfect 2. The sequel to the 2012 hit catches back up with the Barden Bellas as they enter into an international a capella competition that no American team has ever won. She is also attached to Dustin Lance Black’s The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, which centers on a teenage girl who misses her flight at JFK Airport and meets a young British guy who may turn out to be her true love.
She is repped by ICM.
