Hailee Steinfeld is in talks to join Vince Vaughn in TERM LIFE. The story follows Nick Barrow (Vaughn) who plans heists that he sells to the highest bidder, but when one of them goes bad, everybody from the mob to the cops want him dead. He hopes to stay alive long enough for his life insurance policy to kick in and pay out for his estranged daughter. Presumably, Steinfeld will play the daughter. As always (except in the “Psycho” remake) Vince Vaughn will be playing Vince Vaughn.
A.J. Lieberman adapted his own graphic novel that he co-created with Nick Thornborrow. Peter Billingsley (“Couples Retreat”) will direct while Vaughn, his wife Victoria Vaughn and Micah Mason will produce.
Steinfeld has been very busy since being discovered in the Coen Brothers’ “True Grit” remake. Her upcoming slate includes “Ender’s Game,” Tommy Lee Jones’ “The Homesman,” Civil War action drama “The Keeping Room,” “Barely Lethal” and many, many more. She’s certainly one to keep an eye on in the coming years.
She is repped by ICM.
