Rising star Haley Bennett is DreamWorks’ top choice to join Miles Teller in the PTSD drama THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. Bennett is in talks to take on an unspecified role, which sources are saying is the love interest to Teller’s lead. No producers are currently attached, though sources say that the studio is actively moving forward on this one.
American Sniper scribe Jason Hall is stepping behind the camera, helming the adaptation of David Finkel’s 2013 book of the same name. The book, which serves as a sequel to Finkels’ The Good Soldiers, follows the homefront struggles of the batallian chronicled in Good Soldiers – the book which centers on the group’s fifteen month tour of Baghdad during the surge of 2007-2008.
Bennett was recently cast in another high-profile project from the studio, the Emily Blunt-led adaptation of hot novel The Girl on The Train. She also just wrapped on MGM and Sony’s Magnificent Seven remake, which boasts an impressive cast led by Chris Pratt, Denzel Washington, and Ethan Hawke. Bennett can currently be seen in the red hot first-person POV action flick Hardcore, which sparked a bidding war at TIFF last month.
Bennett is repped by CAA.
