Haley Bennett Set For The Untitled Patricia Highsmith Blunderer Adaptation



has joined the forthcoming . The film, which is an adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s 1954 novel “The Blunderer,” is currently untitled. Bennett will join the film’s current stars Patrick Wilson and Jessica Biel. Set in the 1960’s, the film sees Wilson as a successful and married architect whose obsession with an unsolved murder thrusts him into a game of cat and mouse with a brilliant killer and an ambitious detective, all while he’s lusting after another woman. Bennet will portray the “other woman.” Andy Goddard will direct a script from Susan Boyd.

This is not Bennett’s first foray into the crime genre, having recently starred in “After The Fall” with Wes Bentley and “The Equalizer” with Denzel Washington. She’s known from past roles in “The Haunting of Molly Hartley,” “The Hole,” “Marley & Me” and “Deep Powder.” Up next, Bennett has an impressive slate of films including “The White City,” “Hardcore,” “Fathers and Daughters” and the “Untitled Warren Beatty Project” starring Alec Baldwin and Annette Bening. The most impressive of Bennett’s upcoming is the “Untitled Terrance Malick Project,” where she’s featured amongst a star-studded cast including Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale, Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman, Rooney Mara, Kate Blanchett, and Benicio Del Toro.
