Peter O’Brien has been hired by Warner Bros. to rewrite LINE OF SIGHT, a spec that the studio acquired earlier this year, originally written by F. Scott Frazier. The action war-thriller follows Delta Force Three-One, considered the most dangerous men in the world, led by First Lieutenant, Tom Newell, as he and his men attempt to quell a violent anti-government rebellion on American soil. O’Brien is best known in Hollywood for writing the 2008 Black List script “Unlocked,” which is also set up at Warner Bros. as of last year, but what makes this addition very intriguing is that, he is also the person responsible for writing the highly acclaimed, and financially successful “Halo: Reach” for the XBOX 360. With that in mind, it is also worth noting that F. Scott Frazier’s draft includes POV scenes, mimicking the first-person shooter style of the popular franchise game. There is no doubt that “Sight” is right up O’Brien’s alley, and it will be exciting to see what the scribe comes up with on the page.
Joel Silver is attached to produce the feature.
