Isaacs will join Dev Patel, Armie Hammer, and Nazanin Boniadi in the film based on the 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai, which is an account of the courageous actions of the hotel staff and guests during a terrorist attack on the iconic Indian landmark by Pakistani militants. Hundreds were held hostage for 68 hours and the attack resulted in 160 deaths.
The screenplay was written by John Collee and Anthony Maras, who is also set to direct. Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk is set to produce with Arclight Film’s Gary Hamilton and Mike Gabrawy. Andrew Ogilvie from Electric Pictures and Julie Ryan will also produce. Patel will serve as executive producer with Kent Kubena and Jonathan Fuhrman from Thunder Road.
Isaacs recently appeared in The Infiltrator with Bryan Cranston. He can be seen next in Armando Iannucci’s The Death of Stalin and Gore Verbinski’s A Cure For Wellness.
