{HEAT METER} “Hate Night” Spec On A Roll, Burning Into More Territories!

Horror spec HATE NIGHT is on fire and quickly heading into more impressive territories. The horror/thriller spec was hot right out of the gate, likely due to the enticing package, with Sundance director Calvin Reeder to direct and Intrigue, Scott Milam, and Rubicon Entertainment attached to produce.

Thus far, we confirmed that the spec was into Focus Features, Fox Searchlight, CBS Films, New Line Cinema, Dimension Films, Millennium, Lakeshore, and Amazon Studios. Now, the hot project is into Endgame Entertainment, Morgan Creek Productions, Automatic, and Sierra Affinity.

Pitched in the vein of The People Under The Stairs, the spec was penned by hot writing duo Justin Boyd and VJ Boyd (FX’s Justified). The duo are repped by Ari Greenburg at WME and Jeremy Platt at PLATTFORM.

Reeder is repped by APA and Jeremy Loethen at Traverse Media.
