We’re hearing that Lucas Carter’s latest spec ROBIN HOOD: THE UNKNOWN ADVENTURES is hitting the market with some good heat behind it already. The project is into Dreamworks, Legendary Pictures, Warner Bros., MGM, Fox and Lionsgate with Intrigue already on board to produce. The spec, out from Brooklyn Weaver at Energy Entertainment, is being pitched as a continuation of the classic tale of Robin Hood, Maid Marian and his band of Merry Men after the traditional storybooks close who steal from the rich to give to the poor.
Carter is the writer/executive who moonlights as a spec scribe when he’s not working as VP of film at Intrigue. His notable specs include Camden, an action thriller centering on the kidnapping of the President’s daughter and the undercover Secret Service agent protecting her who is forced to save her and risk losing the love of his life, which landed him a spot on the 2013 Hit List and was set up at The Exchange. Meanwhile, Carter is attached to produce thrillers Rosario and The Contract from TV scribe Joseph C. Muscat.
