HITMAN’S BODYGUARD is ready to head into the American Film Market as it adds Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Gary Oldman to the cast. The action pic hails from Millennium Films with a script from Tom O’Connor and Jeff Wadlow set to direct.
The story centers on Reynolds as the world’s top protection agent who has been given a new clientL a hit man who has come in from the cold. They have been enemies for years and are now stuck together, with 24 hours to get to the Hague to testify against a ruthless arms dealer.
Production is set for early April in the U.K., Amsterdam, and Sofia.
Mark Gill, John Thompson, Matt O’Toole, and Les Weldon are producing with Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, Christine Otal, Jason Bloom, Christa Campbell, and Lati Grobman are executive producing.
Reynolds most recently starred in Mississippi Grind, Self/less, and Woman In Gold and will next be seen in the highly anticipated superhero flick Deadpool.
Jackson is starring in the upcoming The Hateful Eight and is currently shooting Kong: Skull Island.
Oldman will next be seen in Criminal and The Space Between Us after starring in Child 44 and Man Down this year.
Reynolds is repped by WME, Jackson is repped by ICM Partners and Anonymous Content, and Oldman is repped by APA and Douglas Management Group.
