Holliday Grainger is set to join Rachel Weisz and Sam Claflin in the Fox Searchlight picture MY COUSIN RACHEL. The film is based on the book by Daphne Du Maurier and was previously adapted starring Olivia de Havilland and Richard Burton. Roger Michell will helm this latest adaptation.
The story centers on Philip, a young orphan, who believes his cousin Rache may have been responsible for the murder of his beloved guardian Ambrose and a cousin of theirs. Philip plots revenge but finds his feeling complicated as he falls under Rachel’s spell.
Grainger can currently be seen in theaters opposite Chris Pine and Casey Affleck in The Finest Hours and will next be scene in Tulip Fever with Alicia Vikander and Christoph Waltz. She previously starred in Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella and The Riot Club, and on TV in Bonnie & Clyde and The Borgias as the infamous Lucrezia Borgia.
