“Homeland” Season 7: First Trailer Reveals Premiere Date and Saul’s New Role (Video)

Carrie has a hell of a time taking down a potentially corrupt president, especially with her former mentor working in the White House, in the first trailer for Season 7 of .

The first trailer for the CIA thriller also reveals the Claire Danes-led thriller will return to Showtime on Sunday, February 11 at 9 p.m.

At the end of last season, following an assassination attempt on her life, President Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) broke her promise to Carrie (Danes) by arresting 200 members of the intelligence community without bringing charges against them, including Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin). As season seven begins, Carrie has left her in the White House and moved back to D.C. and is living with her sister Maggie (Amy Hargreaves) to take on the Keane administration and secure the release of the 200.

She’s thrown for a loop when Saul is not only released from prison, but begins working as the President’s National Security Advisor, putting the two allies on firmly different sides.

Meanwhile, potential assassins still loom and Carrie must take things into her own hands.
