Wolverine may be spending a little more time with his mutant friends. While nothing is officially confirmed, it sounds like Hugh Jackman will reprise his role for the upcoming X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. The story follows mutant forefather, En Sabah Nur, after he returns with plans to plunge the world into an apocalypse to ensure supremacy. Jackman would be joining the already set cast that includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult.
Fox is trying to shoot “Apocalypse” and the third installment of the solo Wolverine series back to back, which leads me to believe Jackman will appear in both films. Jackman has also publicly stated that the upcoming installment of “Wolverine” will likely be his last go around as the character. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, Jackman will appear in the upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and is also working on Joe Wright’s “Pan” and Bill Condon’s musical “The Greatest Showman on Earth” where he’ll play P.T. Barnum of Ringling Brother’s fame.
