Hugh Jackman Reveals Title of “Wolverine” Sequel

After a stint of radio silence about the forthcoming third standalone Wolverine movie, Hugh Jackman has decided to drop some big news about the comic pic in which he the titular adamantium superhero. The Oscar-nominated took to Twitter to reveal that the title of the next of the franchise would be LOGAN.

Jackman snapped a pic of a billboard that was unveiled on the corner of Bleecker and Lafayette streets in the NoHo district of Manhattan with the all-caps caption, , which is Wolverine’s given name.

But this wasn’t the first tease of the movie’s title. The movie’s director, James Mangold posted some pics a day before of the official poster with the release date (March 3, 2017) and the second page of the screenplay.

Plot details about the sequel have been kept under wraps, but Patrick Stewart is set to reprise his role as Professor X. The cast also includes Boyd Holbrook in the villain role and Richard E. Grant in a mad scientist role. Elizabeth Rodriguez, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle, and Elise Neal are also attached to star.

Michael Green, who is also co-writing the untitled Blade Runner sequel, penned the script. Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker will serve as producers.
