Hugh Laurie is in talks to join the super duper (cross your heart and hope to die while pinky swearing not to tell) secret project TOMORROWLAND for director Brad Bird. Damon Lindelof co-wrote the script with Jeff Jenson (with Bird no doubt sticking his finger in that pot as well).
The project is of course kept under wraps, but it’s piqued George Clooney’s interest and know it seems the curiosity of Laurie. No official word on the role he’d play, but it’s said to be the “villain” of the project. Whatever that means, it can only mean good things. Laurie is excellent at playing a cranky, mean spirited genius so this seems like it’s right up his alley.
Producing will be Lindelof.
Most Americans know Laurie from “House” but a few of us more enlightened individuals (and the brits) first met him a brilliant sketch show called “A Bit of Fry and Laurie”.
He is repped by WME.
