“Mindy Project” writer and star Ike Barinholtz has been cast in Universal’s THE NEST opposite comedy duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The comedy follows two adult sisters who throw a final massive party at their parents house before it is sold to new homeowners. Barinholtz will play a neighbor and the love interest of Poehler’s character.
Barinholtz got his start in comedy on “MadTV” for five seasons before going on to write and star in Fox’s comedy “The Mindy Project” where he plays the lovable loser Morgan Tookers opposite Mindy Kaling and Chris Messina. He recently appeared in “Neighbors” as Jimmy and is writing the script for comedy “Central Intelligence,” which will star “Office” alum Ed Helms.
Barinholtz is repped by UTA and Principato-Young Entertainment.
