Disney has shared some casting announcements as well as character details for their upcoming film INCREDIBLES 2. Better Call Saul’s Jonathan Banks and John Tucker Must Die‘s Sophia Bush have both been cast in the highly anticipated sequel.
Banks will voice Rick Dicker, a government leader who helps the family keep their superhero identities secret as head of the Super Relocation Program.
Sophia Bush will play a young Elastigirl fan named Voyd, who aspires to be a superhero herself and has the power of creating voids, allowing objects to appear and disappear.
Character details for Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener’s roles have also been revealed. Odenkirk voices Winston Deaver who leads the telecommunications company with his sister Evelyn Deavor, voiced by Keener.
The Parr family castmembers were previously announced with Craig T. Nelson voicing Mr. Incredible, Holly Hunter as Elastigirl. Voicing the children is Sarah Vowell as Violet, and Huck Milner voicing Dash.
The most exciting voice actor announcement for me is definitely Samuel L. Jackson returning as Frozone. Brad Bird will also have a role in the film, as he reprises his role as super suits designer Edna ‘E’ Mode.
The film will find Mr. Incredible left to take care of Jack-Jack, while Elastigirl is out saving the world. I love this plot.
Incredibles 2 hits theaters June 15.
